ABOUT US.
It all started when we were on holiday in Texas one summer. We had been invited to a Memorial weekend party. At this party we met a couple (Mike and Stella) who we became very good friends with. In the conversation, we got to talking about horses, and they said they were owners of Tennessee Walking horses. We were invited to their ranch the following day and they gave us the opportunity to ride one of their Walkers, but were told the previous day “Once you’ve rode a Tennessee Walker you will never want to ride anything else” So, the following day, we drove the couple of hours to the ranch. We were made very welcome, and after lunch the horses were tacked up and it was time to try one…….Well it was like gliding on ice, these horses had the smoothest running walk and were the most comfortable ride I have ever experienced. I turned round to my husband and kept saying over and over “I got to have one of these”
We only had a few days left before our holiday was over. We were told about a ranch that had one or two Tennessee Walkers for sale. The ranch was called Sister Creek Ranch in Sister Dale Texas. So We made arrangements to go and view. The owners of the ranch Bruce & Beth were not at home, so we were met by their manager Leslie, who was extremely helpful & honest, she really made us welcome. The Stables were absolutely spotless and all surroundings were immaculate, you could have eaten off the floor.This is where Espresso came into it. As soon as I saw here there was something about her. I rode her, I liked her and I wanted her, so we made the decision to buy her. It was one of the best decisions we made, she gave us a beautiful Black Filly in April 05. The Sire being Sister Creeks own beautiful colored Stallion "Delights town Painter"
On out Next Trip to Texas, we arranged to go & visit and meet Bruce & Beth. Again we were made very welcome, and Bruce let me ride his very own Tennessee Walker, she was a real pleasure to ride, but he wouldn't let me take her home. We hope to visit again soon.
